The existing Atoll Hospital in Naifaru has 22 beds.
Average consultation rate is 70 patients per day. Minor
surgeries, gynecology specialist, laboratory services,
scanning and x-ray services are available. As at present
there are 04
doctors and 17 nurses working in the hospital.
A health centre with a doctor, a laboratory and 10 beds
are also situated in the island of Hinnavaru. Kurendhu also has a Health Centre while Olhuvelifushi
has a Health post.
There are 06 dispensaries in the atoll.
About 4000 people from other atolls visit to the atoll
hospital for medical treatment.
